ShedPros On-Site Service

We Help Homeowners Plan Shed Placement, Access, and site preparation So Their Shed Can Be Delivered And Installed Correctly The First Time

Thoughtful Placement Starts With Good Planning

A shed isn’t just delivered to a property — it has to travel through the landscape, move along an access path, and be positioned carefully into its final location. The more we understand about the site ahead of time, the smoother the project will go.

Our goal isn’t to make site prep complicated — it’s to make sure your shed is placed safely, responsibly, and in a way that supports long-term performance.

This page is simply meant to help you understand what we look at, why it matters, and how we plan for placement together.

Access Path — Getting the Shed to the Placement Area

When we review a property, we look at the path the shed will need to travel, including:

• gate and fence openings

• turns and corner clearances

• slopes or soft ground

• trees, landscaping, and obstacles

• driveway or yard access points

Most yards work just fine — some simply require a little planning.

If access is tight or terrain is challenging, that doesn’t mean the project can’t be done. It just means we’ll talk through the right approach ahead of time — so we can plan the safest and smartest way to get your shed into place...

Not sure if your site will work?

See How We Deal With Difficult Access

Placement Area — Where the Shed Will Sit

Once the shed is in place, we want it to sit properly and perform well over time. We generally consider:

• grade and slope behavior

• drainage around the footprint

• clearance from soil and vegetation

• nearby trees, roots, and moisture exposure

• access around doors and working sides

Our focus is stability, function, and longevity — not just appearance on day one.

If a site needs any preparation, we’ll discuss practical options and recommend what makes the most sense for your property.

What ShedPros Reviews During Your Consultation

During the planning stage, we typically walk through:

• the intended shed location

• access route from street to placement area

• slope, grade, and drainage behavior

• nearby landscaping and clearance

• any site constraints or concerns you may have

Our goal is to make sure everything is well-understood and thoughtfully planned before work begins.

When Access Isn’t Perfect — We Have Options

Difficult Access or Restricted Placement? The Pros likely have a solution.

Some properties have:

• narrow access

• enclosed yards

• steep or uneven terrain

• limited equipment clearance

In these situations, we don’t force a full-size shed through a space that isn’t suited for it — we choose the approach that protects your property and results in a better installation.

When access is limited, ShedPros can:

• build a ShedPros unit onsite — the same structure, craftsmanship, and standards as our transported builds, simply constructed in place for locations that are difficult to reach

or, when requested:

• assemble a pre-manufactured big-box shed onsite — assembled carefully and correctly, with the understanding that these products are designed to different material and structural standards than a ShedPros build

And in certain cases, where access is only restricted by fencing or gate openings, we can:

• temporarily remove and later reinstall gates, fence panels, or sections of fencing, when requested and when conditions allow — ensuring the access path is restored cleanly after installation

Our priority is helping you choose the approach that makes the most sense for your property, your access conditions, and your long-term expectations for the shed.

What You Don’t Need to Worry About

You don’t need to:

• “figure it all out” before calling us

• know exact measurements

• move everything in your yard ahead of time

• predict whether access will work

That’s our job.

We’ll evaluate the site, explain what matters, and walk you through options in a calm, straightforward way.

Most properties are workable — and when they aren’t, there is almost always an alternative approach.
